Quantitative Research Manager

Quantitative Research Manager – Turner Quantitative Research Team

Work with the Head of Quantitative Research on developing and enhancing various equity multi-factor models and global / regional macro economic models. Engineer new investment products by developing buy / sell statistical algorithms.

Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling

US Equity Multi Factor Model: Identify additional factors that may be predictive of future stock price out-performance. Conduct linear and non-linear multivariate analysis to determine predictive value and assign optimal factor weights
Regional Tactical Asset Allocation Model: Develop a model utilizing various country / regional macro economic data time series to determine the relative overweight / underweight of various geographical regions. Identify the appropriate macro variables, their coefficients, and the appropriate time lag to achieve optimal results.
Engineer statistically based models for new investment products.

Portfolio management

Become a member of the Quantitative portfolio management team. Assist in portfolio rebalancing, basket trading, risk monitoring and attribution analysis.

Established capabilities:

PhD in the fields of Financial Engineering or Macro Econometrics.
Thorough understanding of various financial modeling methodologies.
Knowledge of computer programming languages, such as Visual Basic, a plus.
Knowledge of statistical packages such as MATLAB a plus.
